Weekly Challenge #168 Tangleation Nation: Rain

Rain. Well, it's certainly appropriate, because it has been raining. As per usual, actually. So, no change there.

Saying that, today is actually rather nice. Sunshine and wind so plenty of washing done, dried and put away, which IS a change as I don't normally organise our lives in that way so much...something obviously in the air. Some chemical or other making me do things I don't usually do.

Anyway, nuff burbling, here is my effort at the Diva Challenge for this week. I call it Sunshine on a Rainy Day.

Weekly Challenge #166: UMT Diva style

I found this one to be more challenging than usual. I did lots of rough sketches before I decided not to sketch anything out and just go with the flow. So, I downed pencils and picked up pen and just drew till I ran out of steam. And this is the result. A bit messy, but on the whole I quite like it.

I call it Organic Mechanic, because it has a mechanical feel to it, but I drew it organically, if you know what I mean.

Weekly Challenge #165: UMT - Camelia

I worked on two for this weeks challenge (to start to make up for the fact that I didn't join in last weeks - sorry! too busy).

It being a Bank Holiday, here in the UK and the fact that I have fallen deeply in love with my new ginormous drawing board and want to spend every waking moment with it (and sleeping - it's set up in my bedroom...ooer!) I not only spring cleaned out my bedroom to make room for it, but I then made sure I made it welcome by using it as it was meant to be used. Stop that, in the back there!

Anyway, here are two Camelia trys. I hope you like them.

Here is the first which I called 'Twist and Shout'

Here is the second one I did which I called 'Just Popping Out'

Actually, I have no idea why I give my drawings titles - it seems like an odd thing to do. But then, I am odd.

Growth

I called this one 'growth' because it kind of looks like some horrible growth. I don't know where I was going with it, but it just had to be gotten out. Imagine. That was inside my mind somewhere!

Actually, I am being mean about it, it ain't that bad, just a bit weird. Hardly pretty or dainty or cute. Blocky, unmanageable, all over the place. So, actually, totally like me after all.

:D

Planets colliding

I finished off two drawings tonight using my new (2nd hand) AO drawing board. Er...it's way bigger than I thought it was going to be - but I love it! It takes up almost my whole bedroom, which I am turning into my studio, but I don't care. It totally looks brilliant in there.

I spent all of today spring cleaning the room and then setting the board up by the bay window so that I can get the light as long as possible. Was drawing up till around 8.30 with no extra lighting. Great!

Anyway, here is the first completed picture:
